I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 1999. While I no longer work in a traditional salon setting—and don’t necessarily miss that part of the industry—I absolutely love what we do at The Sugar Shack.
This career shift was entirely unexpected, but it came into my life at the perfect moment. It reminded me that I could be more than “just a mom,” and it gave me a renewed sense of purpose and connection.
Working with clients at The Sugar Shack has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. Many of the people I’ve met here have become more than just clients—they’ve become close friends and some of my favorite humans.
I genuinely enjoy the conversations we share, whether we’re talking about books, family, health, pets, or simply life in general.
It’s incredibly important to me that everyone who walks through our doors feels comfortable, heard, and well cared for during every visit.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and pets, getting lost in a good book, and learning the ins and outs of gardening (though I’m definitely still a beginner).
I have a soft spot for anything carb-related, and I can’t resist a great pair of shoes, fun socks, or a funny t-shirt.
My favorite color is blue, and lately, I’ve been challenging myself by learning how to snowboard—it’s been painful, but also a lot of fun!
